Allobates algorei Barrio-Amorós and Santos, 2009, Phyllomedusa, 8: 91. Holotype: EBRG 5560, by original designation. Type locality: "Río Negro, Municipio Córdoba, Estado Táchira, Venezuela, '07° 34.723′ N, 72° 10.739′ W', elevation 482 m".

Distribution

Eastern piedmont of the Cordillera Oriental, Estado Táchira, Venezuela, and in adjacent Colombia in Toledo municipality in the buffer zone of Parque Nacional Natural Tamá, Norte de Santander department, Colombia, 646 to 1185 m elevation.

Comment

Confused with Allobates humilis prior to its description according to the original publication. Acevedo-Rincón, Armesto, and Meza-Joya, 2019, Zootaxa, 4608: 183–186, reported the species in  Toledo municipality in the buffer zone of Parque Nacional Natural Tamá, Norte de Santander department, Colombia. See Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris, 2019, Amph.
