Distribution

Known only from the type locality, about 6 km northwest of Yurimaguas airport and about 100 m south of Terminal Portuario de Yurimaguas, Province of Alto Amazonas, Department of Loreto, Peru, ca. 202 m elevation.

Comment

Comparative morphology and osteology, molecular markers, and advertisement call detailed in the original publication, where the species was suggested to be the sister taxon of Allobates insperatus plus Allobates juami (with which this species was previously confused). The authors also provided a dot map of the species and near relatives.
