Distribution
Known from western Brazilian Amazonia in the states of Amazonas (Borba; Tefé, Rio Ituxi); Acre (Fazenda Bonal, Senador Guiomard; Boca do Acre; ); Rondônia (Cachoeira do Morrinhos, Porto Velho; Rio Formoso, Parque Estadual de Guajará-Mirim, Nova Mamoré).
Comment
Morphologically very similar to a number of other species in the region; see discussion in the original paper for a summary of misidentifications in these species. Formerly included records in the northern part of the Purus–Madeira Interfluve, Amazonas, Brazil, that are now assigned to Allobates caldwellae, according to Lima, Ferrão, and Silva, 2020, J. Zool. Syst. Evol. Res., 58: 1173–1194.
