Colostethus kaiei Kok, Sambhu, Roopsind, Lenglet, and Bourne, 2006, Zootaxa, 1238: 38. Holotype: IRSNB 1938, by original designation. Type locality: "Kaieteur National Park, along Tukeit trail, Guyana, 5° 11′ 06 N, 59° 28′ 51 W, elevation ca. 400 m."

Known only from Kaieteur National Park and the Pakaraima Mountains, Guyana; possibly extending into adjacent Brazil.
