Colostethus triunfo Barrio-Amorós, Fuentes-Ramos, and Rivas-Fuenmayor, 2004, Salamandra, 40: 184. Holotype: EBRG 4756, by original designation. Type locality: "summit of Cerro Santa Rosa, Serranía del Supamo, 685 m above sea level, 6° 40′ 39 N, 62° 24′ 26 W, Estado Bolívar, Venezuela".

Known only from two localities, 350 to 680 m elevation on the northwestern slopes of Sierra de Lema, Estado Bolívar, Venezuela).
