Holotype: MPEG 13838, by original designation. Type locality: "Brazil, Amazonas state, municipality of Castanho, at km 12 on road to Autazes (ca. 40 km south of Manaus), 40 m elevation, 3° 30′ 52.24″ S, 59° 49′ 51.13" W″".

Southwestern Brazil in northern Rondonia and the southern half of Acre, and the southeastern tip of Colombia; expected in adjacent Peru.
