Holotype: KU 189526, by original designation. Type locality: "La Costa, Mpio. El Tambo, Depto. del Cauca, Colombia, 900 m asl (ca. 02°30′N, 77°05′W)".

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality on the wetern versant of the Cordillera Occidental, 800 and 900 m elevations, La Costa (a location west of Caserío Veinte de Julio), Municipio El Tambo, Departamento del Cauca, Colombia.
