Holotype: IAvH 14613, by original designation. Type locality: "from a small tributary of the headwaters of the Río Tanelita, NE flank of Cerro Tacarcuna, Serranía del Darien, corregimiento de Balboa, municipio de Unguía, departamento del Chocó, Colombia, 1,100 m asl (08°14′01.3″N, 77°16′51.6″W; WGS 84 origin)".

Distribution

Known exclusively from a stream on the Colombian side of Cerro Tacarcuna, streamside species found on and among the rocks, in the spray zone of a small waterfall, and inside a small cave; presumably found in adjacent Panama.
