Southern two-thirds of Kerala, India, along the coastal plain into the foothills of the Western Ghats.

Comment
In the Euphlyctis hexadactylus group and the sister taxon of Euphlyctis aloysii, according to the original publication, where external morphology, morphometrics, molecular markers, and natural history were described. Dufresnes, Mahony, Prasad, Kamei, Masroor, Khan, Al-Johany, Gautam, Gupta, Borkin, Melnikov, Rosanov, Skorinov, Borzée, Jablonski, and Litvinchuk, 2022, Syst. Biodiversity, 20 (2102686): 1–25, discussed the systematics of this species and its phylogenetic place within the genus. Vasudevan Sheeja and Sanil, 2023, Reptiles & Amphibians, 30 (e18443): 1–6, provided new genetically-confirmed (mtDNA) records from Kerala, India, and discussed the range.
