Sarawak (Miri Division, Miri District, Bario Subdistrict, Bario, 1000 m elevation) and Sabah (Interior Division, Tambunan District, Mahua, Crocker Range National Park, 1200 m; Tambunan, 750 m), Malaysia.

Comment

Comparative morphology and mtDNA 16s molecular markers detailed in the original publcation. Previously confused with Limnonectes kuhlii, but referred to as  Limnonectes sp. Lineage 5 by Matsui, Kuraishi, Eto, Hamidy, Nishikawa, Shimada, Yambun Imbun, Vairappan, and Hossman, 2016, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 102: 307.
