Class: Amphibia > Order: Anura > Family: Dicroglossidae > Subfamily: Dicroglossinae > Genus: Limnonectes > Species: Limnonectes deinodon

Limnonectes deinodon Dehling, 2014, Sauria, Berlin, 36: 18. Holotype: BMNH 1974.4661, by original designation. Type locality: "Ostgrat (2500 Fuß = 762 m) des Gunung Lawit, Terengganu-Staat, Malaysia". = " East Ridge (2500 ft = 762 m) of Gunung Lawit, Terengganu State, Malaysia".

English Names

Flat-headed Corrugated Frog (Hui, Ngadi, Md-Zain, Md-Zairi, and Abdul-Latiff, 2020, Biodiversitas, 21: 2426).

Peninsular Malaysia (and associated Pulau Tinggi) likely into Thailand (see comment).

Previously confused with Limnonectes laticeps and Limnonectes khasianus according to the original publication. In the original publication (p. 29), the authors suggest that populations of nominal Limnonectes khasianus from peninsular Thailand are in reality assignable to Limnonectes deinodon. Older literature for Limnonectes laticeps and Limnonectes khasianus from peninsular Malaysia and adjacent Thailand presumably refer to this species. Hui, Ngadi, Md-Zain, Md-Zairi, and Abdul-Latiff, 2020, Biodiversitas, 21: 2425-2429, reported the species from Pulau Tinggi, off the southeastern coast of peninsular Malaysia.
