In the Limnonectes kuhlii complex and the sister taxon of Limnonectes kiziriani, according to the original publication. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 23, reported the species from eastern Kon Tum Province, Vietnam, the identity confirmed by mtDNA analysis. Pham, Le, Ngo, Ziegler, and Nguyen, 2022, Acad. J. Biol., 44: 115–121, provided a record from Chu Mom Ray National Park, Kon Tum Province, Vietnam, confirmed by mtDNA analysis, and presumably the same record mentioned by Poyarkov, et al. (2021).
