Mountain Guardian Frog (original publication). 

Distribution

Eastern Sarawak between 1000 and 1600 m elevation; apart from the type locality, Pa’ Lungan, it has been recorded from other locations around Gunung Murud and from Payeh Maga, Gunung Dulit, and Gunung Mulu.

Comment

In the Limnonectes palavanensis group, formerly confused with that species, according to the original publication, where comparative molecular markers, morphology, and morphometrics were detailed. See comment under Limnonectes palavanensis for possibly relevant legacy literature.
