Comment

Previous confused with Limnonectes laticeps (now Limnonectes khasianus) according to the original publication.  Das, Jankowski, Makmor, and Haas, 2007, Mitt. Hamburg. Zool. Mus. Inst., 104: 151, provided a brief description for a Bornean population, as Limnonectes laticepsDas, 2007, Amph. Rept. Brunei: 51, provided a photograph and brief account for Brunei as Limnonectes laticeps and suggested that the Borneo population was a distinct species. Matsui, Kuraishi, Eto, Hamidy, Nishikawa, Shimada, Yambun Imbun, Vairappan, and Hossman, 2016, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 102: 305–319, who noted, on the basis of DNA analysis, that this species plus 17 unnamed ones from Borneo form the sister taxon of Limnonectes cintalubang.
