Limnonectes kong Dehling and Dehling, 2017, Zootaxa, 4317: 300. Holotype: NMBE 1059923, by original designation. Type locality: "Kubah National Park (1°36.411’N, 110°11.399’E; 290 m a.s.l.), Matang Range, Sarawak, Malaysia (Borneo)".
Common Names
Poorly Webbed Fanged Frog (Matsui, Nishikawa, Shimada, Eto, Hamidy, Sudin, Hossman, Gumal, and Vairappan, 2024, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 43: 245).
Distribution
Western Sarawak (Malaysia) and Serasan I. (Natuna Is., Indonesia).
Geographic Occurrence
Natural Resident: Indonesia, Malaysia, Malaysia, East (Sarawak and/or Sabah)
Comment
Previously confused with Limnonectes conspicillatus according to the original publication. Herlambang, Riyanto, Munir, Hamidy, Kimura, Eto, and Mumpuni, 2022, Treubia, 49: 78, reported the species from Serasan I., Natuna Is., Indonesia. Equivalent of Limnonectes sp. Lineage 8 of Matsui, Kuraishi, Eto, Hamidy, Nishikawa, Shimada, Yambun Imbun, Vairappan, and Hossman, 2016, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 102: 307, according to Matsui, Nishikawa, Shimada, Eto, Hamidy, Sudin, Hossman, Gumal, and Vairappan, 2024, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 43: 245, who provided an account of comparative morphology and molecular markers.
