Lambir Hills, Miri and Bintulu Divisions, northwestern Sarawak, Malaysia, 200 to 210 m elevation.

Corresponds to Limnonectes sp. Lineage 7 of Matsui, Kuraishi, Eto, Hamidy, Nishikawa, Shimada, Yambun Imbun, Vairappan, and Hossman, 2016, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 102: 307, according to Matsui, Nishikawa, Shimada, Eto, Hamidy, Sudin, Hossman, Gumal, and Vairappan, 2024, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 43: 242, who discussed the comparative morphology, molecular markers, and natural history of this species.
