Northern Peninsular and west coast east to Leboni Village on the central core of Sulawesi, Indonesia, 239 to 1003 m elevation.

Comment
The sister taxon of Limnonectes heinichi according to the original publication. The unheralded but more meaty paper by Kusrini, Rowley, Khairunnisa, Shea, and Altig, 2015, PLoS One, 10(1): e116154: 1–9, details the reproductive biology and larval morphology of the species. Kurniati, Hamidy, and Clayton, 2020, BIO Web Conf., 19 (6): 1–6, described the advertisement call. Karin, Krone, Frederick, Hamidy, Laksono, Amini, Arida, Arifin, Bach, Bos, Jennings, Riyanto, Scarpetta, Stubbs, and McGuire, 2023, PeerJ, 11(e15766): 1–19, reported on elevational range in northern Sulawesi. Putri, Suharman, and Hamidy, 2023, Tropical Nat. Hist., Thailand, 23: 139–142, reported specimens from Leboni Village, Pamona Puselemba District, Poso Regency (-1.75008 S, 120.53509 E, elevation 695 m, in central Sulawesi, and discussed the specimens and their larvae.
