Distribution

Between 100 and 830 m elevation in eastern Sarawak (Gunung Mulu National Park, Merarap), Brunei Darussalam (Ulu Temburong National Park), and Sabah (Danum Valley, Tawau Hills National Park, Sepilok Forest Reserve), Malaysia; tentatively identified specimens from Sabah (Purulon, Sipitang); expectd to be widely distributed in lowland rainforests of northern Sarawak, Brunei, Sabah, as well as northeastern Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Likely/Controversially Present: Indonesia

Comment

In the Limnonectes palavanensis group and formerly confused with that species, according to the original publication, where comparative molecular markers, morphology, morphometrics, and advertisement call were detailed.
