Distribution

Between 100 and 830 m elevation in eastern Sarawak (Gunung Mulu National Park, Merarap), Brunei Darussalam (Ulu Temburong National Park), and Sabah (Danum Valley, Tawau Hills National Park, Sepilok Forest Reserve), Malaysia; tentatively identified specimens from Sabah (Purulon, Sipitang); expectd to be widely distributed in lowland rainforests of northern Sarawak, Brunei, Sabah, as well as northeastern Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Natural Resident: Brunei, Malaysia, Malaysia, East (Sarawak and/or Sabah)

Likely/Controversially Present: Indonesia

Comment

In the Limnonectes palavanensis group and formerly confused with that species, according to the original publication, where comparative molecular markers, morphology, morphometrics, and advertisement call were detailed. See comment under Limnonectes palavanensis for possibly relevant legacy literature.
