Limnonectes selatan Matsui, Belabut, and Ahmad, 2014, Zootaxa, 3881:86. Holotype. UKMHC 529, by original designation. Type locality: "Genting Highlands, State of Pahang, Malaysia (3°24′ N, 101°46′ E, 1069 m a.s.l.".

Distribution
Peninsular Malaysia: Genting Highlands, State of Pahang (1069 m elevation.); Ulu Gombak, State of Selangor (200 m elevation); presumed to be more widespread and found in elevation from 200 to 1069 m.
Comment
Confused with Limnonectes kuhlii in earlier literature but actually evolutionary substantially distant from that species, according to the original publication.
