Distribution
Known only from the type locality (Sakon Nakhon Province, Phanna Nikhom District, Rai Subdistrict) in part of the Phu Phan Mountain Range in northeastern Thailand in dry evergreen forest at 293 m elevation.

Comment
The sister taxon of Limnonectes lauhachindai according to the original publication, where comparative morphology, morphometrics, and molecular markers (16S mtDNA) were detailed, as well as a dot distribution map.
