Heleophryne purcelli depressa FitzSimons, 1946, Ann. Transvaal Mus., 20: 369. Holotype: TMP 19644, by original designation. Type locality: "'Boskloof', Keromsberg, near De Wet .... [which is] at the southern end of Hex River Valley, Worcester district, [Western] Cape Province", Rep. South Africa.
