Comment
In the Gastrotheca marsupiata group by implication of Duellman, Maxson, and Jesiolowski, 1988, Copeia, 1988: 527-543. See Cei, 1980, Monit. Zool. Ital., N.S., Monogr., 2: 443-444. See Laurent, Lavilla, and Teran, 1986, Acta Zool. Lilloana, 38: 171-210, for distributional records. De la Riva, Köhler, Lötters, and Reichle, 2000, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 14: 58, thought this species possibly to occur in Bolivia. Akmentins, Bonduri, Contreras, Francisconi, Massabie, and Santillán, 2014, Cuad. Herpetol., 28: 147–152, reported the species in the Parque Nacional Campo de Los Alisos, Tucuman, Argentina, and redescribed the advertisement call. In the Gastrotheca marsupiata group of Castroviejo-Fisher, Padial, De la Riva, Pombal, Silva, Rojas-Runjaic, Medina-Méndez, and Frost, 2015, Zootaxa, 4004: 1–72. See detailed account by Duellman, 2015, Marsupial Frogs: 315–319. Folly, Amaral, Silveira, Carvalho-e-Silva, and Dias, 2024, J. Morphol., 285(285:e21766): 1–12, reported on larval crania anatomy and discussed phylogenetic significance of these data.
