Gastrotheca (Gastrotheca) oresbios Duellman and Venegas, 2016, Phyllomedusa, 15: 106. Holotype: C0RBIDI 11076, by original designation. Type locality: "Abra Barro Negro, 6°42'58.2″ S, 77° 51′ 53.8″ W, 3290 m, Provincia Chachapoyas, Departamento Amazonas, Peru".

Distribution
Known only from two localities at elevations of 3290 m on Abra Barro Negro and at 3119 m in Quintecocha in the northern part of the Cordillera Central in northern Peru.
