Comment

Confused previously with Hemiphractus johnsoni according to the original publication. J. Köhler suggests (in litt.) that the record for northern Bolivia by Sheil and Mendelson, 2001, Herpetologica, 57: 190, is erroneous. Bernarde, Miranda, Albuquerque, and Turci, 2010, Check List, 6: 491-492, provided a record for Brazil and discussed the range. See brief account for the Manu region, Peru, by Villacampa-Ortega, Serrano-Rojas, and Whitworth, 2017, Amph. Manu Learning Cent.: 122–123.
