Cordillera de Talamanca, including sites in the provinces of Bocas del Toro, Chiriqui, Coclé, and Panamá in western Panama, in premontane moist primary forest ranging in elevation from 600–1600 m. 


Confused previously with Hemiphractus fasciatus according to the original publication.
