Stefania ackawaio MacCulloch and Lathrop, 2002, Herpetologica, 58: 334. Holotype: ROM 39473, by original designation. Type locality: "northeast plateau of Mount Ayanganna, Guyana, (05° 24′ N, 059° 57′ W) elevation 1490 m".
Common Names
Ackawaio Stefania (MacCulloch and Lathrop, 2006, Cat. Am. Amph. Rept., 824: 1).
Distribution
Known from the type locality (Mount Ayanganna, 05° 24′ N, 059° 57′ W, elevation 1490 and 1550 m), and Mount Wokomung in the Pakaraima Mountains (1234-1411 m elevation), Guyana.
Geographic Occurrence
Natural Resident: Guyana
Endemic: Guyana
Comment
In the Stefania evansi group according to the original publication. MacCulloch, Lathrop, and Khan, 2006, Phyllomedusa, 5: 31-41, reported on the specimens from the Mount Wokomung, Guyana. MacCulloch and Lathrop, 2006, Cat. Am. Amph. Rept., 824: 1-2, reviewed the species.
