Known only from the summit of Angasima-tepui between 2122 and 2154 m elevation, Bolívar State, Venezuela; possibly to be found on adjacent Katuran-tepui

Previously confused with Stefania satelles according to the original publication, where comparative external morphology and osteology and molecular markers were detailed.
