Boana stellae (Kwet, 2008)
Hypsiboas stellae Kwet, 2008, Salamandra, 44: 2. Holotype: MCP 5621, by original designation. Type locality: "A small unnamed forest stream (confluent of Rio Pardinho which is a confluent of Rio Pardo; both streams are tributaries of Rio Jacuí), at the southern slope of the South Brazilian Araucaria plateau, at about 400 m a.s.l., about 15 km N of Sinimbu, 52° 36′ W, 29° 34′ S, Municipality of Sinimbu, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil".

Distribution
Currently known only from the southern slope of the Araucaria Plateau in central Rio Grande do Sul, at 200–600 m elevation
Comment
In the Hypsiboas semiguttatus clade of the Hypsiboas pulchellus group according to the original publication, where the advertisement call, external morphology, and life history. Widholzer and Castroviejo-Fisher, 2018, Zootaxa, 4508: 582–586, reported on larval morphology.
