Comment
In the former Hyla albomarginata group of Duellman, 1970, Monogr. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas: 240. In the more exclusive Hyla albosignata subgroup of Cruz and Peixoto, 1987 "1985", Arq. Univ. Fed. Rural Rio de Janeiro, 8: 103–105. Call described by Abrunhosa, Pimenta, Cruz, and Haddad, 2005, Arq. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, 63: 275–282 (as both Hyla albosignata and Hyla callipygia). Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 82, transferred this group into Aplastodiscus, as the Aplastidiscus albisignatus group. See comments under Aplastodiscus callipygius, Aplastodiscus cavicola, Aplastodiscus flumineus, and Aplastodiscus leucopygius. See account by Heyer, Rand, Cruz, Peixoto, and Nelson, 1990, Arq. Zool., São Paulo, 31: 257–258.
