Agric., Trinidad, 10: 8. Type localities: "Canelos", Santarém, Bahia, "interior of Brazil", Brazil, and "Sarayacu", Ecuador. Restricted to Canelos, Ecuador, by lectotype designation of Parker, 1933, Trop. Agric., Trinidad, 10: 8.

Distribution

Ecuador (Morona Santiago, Napo, Orellana, Pastaza, Sucumbíos and Zamora Chinchipe provinces), Bolivia (Madidi National Park, northwestern La Paz), Brazil (Amazonas, Pará and Rondônia states) and Colombia (Putumayo Province), elevations of 14 to 1050 m.

London, 1935: 512. Ocampo, Aparicio, Bernal Hoverud, Domic, and Wallace, 2024, Herpetol. Notes, 17: 371–389, reported the species from Madidi National Park, La Paz, Bolivia.
