Distribution
Restricted to the Tocantins-Araguaia River Basin in Goiás, Pará, Tocantins, and eastern Mato Grosso; from the municipality of Montes Claros de Goiás, Goiás, in the south, to the municipality of Conceição do Araguaia, Pará, in the north, to Tocantins, and west to the eastern portions of Mato Grosso.

Tentatively assigned to the Boana albopunctata group according to the original publication, where the morphology, anatomy, habitat, and vocalizations were detailed. Vaz-Silva, Maciel, Nomura, Morais, Guerra Batista, Santos, Andrade, Oliveira, Brandão, and Bastos, 2020, Guia Ident. Anf. Goiás e Dist. Fed. Brasil Central: 59, provided an account. Dias-Silva, Souza, Fadel, Adams, Bühler, and Pereira Silva, 2023, Acta Biol. Colombiana, 28: 540-543, provided new records from Aragarças Municipality, Goiás, and Cocalinho Municipality, Mato Grosso, Brazil, provided a dot map of distribution, and discussed the range and conservation proposals.
