Hypsiboas diabolicus Fouquet, Martinez, Zeidler, Courtois, Gaucher, Blanc, Lima, Marques-Souza, Rodrigues, and Kok, 2016, Zootaxa, 4084: 87. Holotype: JAGUARS R-157, by original designation. Type locality: "Nouragues biological station near “Pont Ficelle” on Crique Nouragues, (4.08479, -52.68063, 100 m elevation) in the Reserve Naturelle des Nouragues, municipality of Régina, French Guiana". Common Names
None noted.
Distribution
Known from French Guiana (west right to the Suriname line) south into central and western Amapá, Brazil, on the Pará border.

Comment
Formerly confused with Hypsiboas geographicus according to the original publication. Taucce, Costa-Campos, Carvalho, and Michalski, 2022, Eur. J. Taxon., 836: 112, noted that at least some records from Amapá, Brazil, of nominal Boana geographica apply to this species. They also reported on distribution, literature, and conservation status for Amapá, Brazil.
