Boana icamiaba Peloso, Oliveira, Sturaro, Rodrigues, Lima, Bitar, Wheeler, and Aleixo, 2018, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 13: 157. Holotype: MPEG 27246, by original designation. Type locality: "BRAZIL, state of Pará, municipality of Juruti, Capiranga (02°36′34″S, 56°11′46″W)".

Distribution
Known from scattered localities in the Brazilian state of Pará, in the mid–lower Rio Madeira–Rio Tapajós and lower Rio Tapajós–Rio Xingu interfluves; Rio Tapajós (Área de Protećão Ambiental do Tapajós) as well as localities in the states of Mato Grosso (municipality of Novo Mundo), Rondônia (municipality of Parecis), and Amazonia (Maués municipality).

Comment
In the Boana semilinata species group, the sister taxon of Boana pombali + Boana secedens, according to the original publication, where the call was described. Anjos, Wronski, Penhacek, Noronha, Pinto, Oda, and Rodrigues, 2019, Caldasia, 41: 442–444, reported localities in Mato Grosso and Rondonia, Brazil, and discussed the known range. Ferreira, 2021, Biota Amazônia, 11: 22–28, provided a record from Maués municipality, Amazonia, Brazil, and briefly discussed the range.
