Common Names

Distribution

Cloud-forest at elevations of 700-2650 m on the eastern slopes of the Andes and Andean precordilleras from central Bolivia to the departments of Oran and Salta, Salta Province, northern Argentina.

In the Hyla pulchella group according to Duellman, De la Riva, and Wild, 1997, Sci. Pap. Nat. Hist. Mus. Univ. Kansas, 3: 1-41, who provided an account. In the Hyla pulchella group of Faivovich, Garcia, Ananias, Lanari, Basso, and Wheeler, 2004, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 32: 938-950. De la Riva, Köhler, Lötters, and Reichle, 2000, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 14: 33, noted some identification errors in the literature. Köhler, 2000, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 48: 100-101, provided a brief account.
