Comment
In the Hypsiboas pulchellus group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 87-88. Weber, Silva-Soares, and Salles, 2009, Check List, 5: 218-221, provided photographs of specimens, discussed the type locality, provided the second record, and discussed the range and identification errors in the literature, including noting that previous records for this species from Espírito Santo are referable to Hypsiboas pombali. Vrcibradic, Nascimento, Diniz, and Fusinatto, 2016, Salamandra, 52: 204–206, reported on body size and natural history. Peloso, Oliveira, Sturaro, Rodrigues, Lima, Bitar, Wheeler, and Aleixo, 2018, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 13: 150–169, transferred this species to the Boana semilineata species group.
