Hyloscirtus antioquia Rivera-Correa and Faivovich, 2013, Herpetologica, 69: 302. Holotype: MHUA-A 7227, by original designation. Type locality: "Colombia, Antioquia, Municipio de Bello, Serranía Las Baldías, Corregimiento de Sa Félix, Vereda Las Huertas, Quebrada El Hato (6° 19′ 53.93″ N, 75° 38′ 10.10″ W, 2660 m, datum. WGS84), km 5 along San Félix road—Truchera San Félix."

Cloud forest and subpáramo habitats between 2500 and 3200 m elevation in the Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia.

Comment
In the Hyloscirtus larinopygion group, previously confused with Hyloscirtus larinopygion according to the original publication. Rivera-Correa, Vargas-Salinas, and Grant, 2017, Salamandra, 53: 237–244, described the advertisement call. Rivera-Correa and Faivovich, 2021, Stud. Neotrop. Fauna Environ., 56: 203–209, described larval morphology. Correa-Medina, González-Garzón, and Rivera-Correa, 2022, Catal. Anf. Rept. Colombia, Medellín, 8: 55–61, provided a review of the species, including systematics, morphology, range map, natural history, advertisement call, and geographic distribution.
