Comment
Removed from the synonymy of Hyla platydactyla by La Marca, 1985, J. Herpetol., 19: 227-237, where it had been placed by Duellman, 1972, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 11: 27. In the Hyloscirtus bogotensis group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 85. See statement of geographic range, habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 616. In Hyloscirtus species group B of Sánchez, 2010, Copeia, 2010: 351-363.Centrolenella estevesi was considered by P. Starrett (pers. comm. to Jay Savage In Duellman and Cannatella, 1985, in Frost (ed.), Amph. Species World: 80) to be a hylid, but considered by La Marca, 1997, in La Marca (ed.), Vert. Actual. Fosil. Venezuela: 114, to be a member of Hyalinobatrachium (Centrolenidae). Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 85, resolved the issue and this species in the Hyloscirtus bogotensis group. See Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris, 2019, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 13 (1: e180): 69–70, for comments on range, systematics, and literature.
