Hyla pantosticta Duellman and Berger, 1982, Herpetologica, 38: 456. Holotype: KU 190000, by original designation. Type locality: "0.5 km south of Santa Bárbara along the road to La Bonita, 2650 m, Provincia Carchi, Ecuador (00° 24′ N, 77° 33′ W)".
