Plectrohyla lacertosa Bumzahem and Smith, 1954, Herpetologica, 10: 64. Holotype: UIMNH 33693, by original designation. Type locality: "Region del Soconusco", Chiapas, Mexico.

Common Names

Pop-eyed Spikethumb Frog (Liner, 1994, Herpetol. Circ., 23: 25; Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 62; Liner and Casas-Andreu, 2008, Herpetol. Circ., 38: 20).

Distribution

Known only from two localities in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas, Mexico, the type locality (Soconusco region) and Cerro Tres Picos, 1000 to 2134 m elevation.
