Brandão, Colli, Peres, and Abreu, 2003, Phyllomedusa, 2: 69–70, provided the records from Mato Grosso and Goias, Brazil. Lucas and Brasileiro, 2005, Herpetol. Rev., 36: 334, provided a record for Maranhão, Brazil, and briefly summarized the known range of the species. Rodriguez, Börner, Pabijan, Gehara, Haddad, and Vences, 2015, Evol. Ecol., 29: 765–785 (and supplemental data), reported on phylogeographic diversity and its causes. Vaz-Silva, Maciel, Nomura, Morais, Guerra Batista, Santos, Andrade, Oliveira, Brandão, and Bastos, 2020, Guia Ident. Anf. Goiás e Dist. Fed. Brasil Central: 88, provided an account. Fonseca, Garda, Oliveira, Camurugi, Magalhães, Lanna, Zurano, Marques, Vences, and Gehara, 2021, Landscape Ecol., 36: 3049–3060, reported on gene flow in the Tocantins–Araguaia Basin, Brazil, and provided a range map.
