Plectrohyla miahuatlanensis Meik, Smith, Canseco-Márquez, and Campbell, 2006, J. Herpetol., 40: 305. Holotype: MZFC 17864, by original designation. Type locality: "north of Candelaria Loxicha, 2550 m (16° 12.844′ N, 96° 31.938′ W), Sierra de Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico".

Sarcohyla miahuatlanensis — Duellman, Marion, and Hedges, 2016, Zootaxa, 4104: 18. Provisional assignment. 

Common Names

Sierra Miahuatlan Spikethumb Frog (Liner and Casas-Andreu, 2008, Herpetol. Circ., 38: 20).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (north of Candelaria Loxicha in mesic pine-oak woodland), Sierra de Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico.

Endemic: Mexico

Comment

In the Plectrohyla bistincta group according to the original publication, similar to Plectrohyla cembra and Plectrohyla sabrina.
