Scinax iquitorum Moravec, Tuanama, Pérez-Peña, and Lehr, 2009, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 4: 10. Holotype: MUSM27577, by original designation. Type locality: "the vicinity of Puerto Almendras (03°49′46″S, 073°22′32″W; ca. 120 m a.s.l.,), ca. 17 km straight SW of Iquitos, Region Loreto, Peru".

Known currently from the area of Río Nanay and Peruvian Río Yavari, Region Loreto, Peru.


In the Scinax ruber clade according to the original publication. Machado, Machado, Paiva, and Moravec, 2015, Herpetozoa, Wien, 27: 189–190, and Melo-Sampaio and Souza, 2015, Check List, 11 (Art. 1681): 1–6, provided records from Acre, Brazil, and briefly discussed the range. Chávez, 2018, Phyllomedusa, 17: 279–283, reassigned the Brazilian records of Scinax iquitorum to Scinax onca.
