Common Names
Murici Spinythumb Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 71).
Distribution
Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Murici municipality, Alagoas, Brasil).
Geographic Occurrence
Natural Resident: Brazil
Endemic: Brazil
Comment
In the Crossodactylus gaudichaudii species group according to the original publication. Dubeux, Silva, Nascimento, Gonçalves, and Mott, 2019, Rev. Nordestina Zool., 12: 18–52, noted that the larva remains undescribed. Moreira, Lisboa, Dubeux, Neves, Mott, and Nascimento, 2024, Herpetol. J., 34: 176–187, described larval morphology, vocalization, and 16s mtDNA phylogenetic placement.
