Hylodes magalhaesi (Bokermann, 1964)
Elosia magalhãesi Bokermann, 1964, Neotropica, 10: 102. Holotype: WCAB 14776, by original designation; now in MZUSP. Type locality: "Campos do Jordão, São Paulo, Brasil, alrededores de 1550 metros de altitud".

Distribution
Endemic to the Mantiqeira Mountain range of the states of São Paulo (Campos do Jordão; Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural Fazenda Renópolis, municipality of Santo Antônio do Pinha; and São Francisco Xavier, municipality of São José dos Campos) and adjacent Minas Gerais (Monte Verde), Brazil.

In the Hylodes lateristrigatus group of Heyer, 1982, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 95: 377-385. Gomes, Provete, and Martins, 2012, J. Herpetol., 46: 614-619, reported on larval morphology. Toledo, Haddad, Carnaval, and Britto, 2006, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 4 (1): 17–21, provided a record from Monte Verde, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Weber and Caramaschi, 2013, Zootaxa, 3635: 557-568, reported on comparative larval morphology of the species. Muscat, Stuginski, Nunes, Martins, Augusto-Alves, Vittorazzi, Toledo, and Moroti, 2020, Herpetol. Notes, 13: 573–577, provided new records, discussed habitat, and mapped the range.
