Distribution

Rainforest from extreme southeastern Guinea and Liberia through Ivory Coast to western Nigeria; apparently absent from Togo and Benin.

Comment

Rödel and Branch, 2002, Salamandra, 38: 260, confirmed the existence of this species in western forests of Ivory Coast. Segniagbeto, Bowessidjaou, Dubois, and Ohler, 2007, Alytes, 24: 76, did not list this species in Togo. Hillers and Rödel, 2007, Salamandra, 43: 1-10, reported the species in Liberia. Notes, 7: 657–665, provided a record for eastern Ivory Coast. Rödel and Glos, 2019, Zoosyst. Evol., 95: 21, reported this species from the Krahn-Bassa Proposed Protected Area in southeastern Liberia and the Foya Proposed Protected Area in western Liberia. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph.
