Hyperolius robustus Laurent, 1979, Rev. Zool. Bot. Afr., 93: 783. Holotype: MRAC 79.24.B.4, by original designation. Type locality: "Gembe, Marais Koiteko, Terr. de Lodja", Sankuru, Dem. Rep. Congo.

Distribution

Known from localities in Congo lowland forest, all localities on the left bank side of the Congo River, west-central and central Dem. Rep. Congo. 

Comment

A very brief account (as Hyperolius robustus) was provided by Schiøtz, 1999, Treefrogs Afr.: 154, and Schiøtz, 2006, Alytes, 24: 57, discussed the species. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 192–193, provided a brief account (as Hyperolius robustus), photograph, and range map.  Nečas, Babangenge, Vopálenský, and Gvoždík, 2021, Sci. Rep. (Nature, London), 11 (8338): 1–15, provided a dot map and specific localities.
