Comment

Probably a synonym of Hyperolius pusillus according to Laurent, 1985, in Frost (ed.), Amph. Species World: 207. Not mentioned by Schiøtz, 1999, Treefrogs Afr.Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 396, regarded this nominal taxon as too insufficiently known to treat adequately in their fieldguide. Tillack, de Ruiter, and Rödel, 2021, Zoosyst. Evol., Berlin, 97: 417, discussed the confusing provenance of the holotype, noting that the neither the identity of the frog nor its origin or collector can be determined with certainty.
