Hyperolius cinereus Monard, 1937 "1936", Bull. Soc. Neuchatel. Sci. Nat., 62: 32. Holotype: MHNC 90.0857, according to Conradie, Branch, and Tolley, 2013, Zootaxa, 3635: 211. Type locality: "Kalukembé" (= Calaqumbe), Angola.
