Comment

Probably a synonym of Hyperolius concolor according to Perret, 1966, Zool. Jahrb., Jena, Abt. Syst., 93: 411. Not mentioned by Schiøtz, 1999, Treefrogs Afr.Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 396, regarded this nominal taxon as too insufficiently known to treat adequately in their fieldguide. Tillack, de Ruiter, and Rödel, 2021, Zoosyst. Evol., Berlin, 97: 407–450, briefly discussed the collection history of the type.
