Achaval and Olmos, 2003, Anf. Rept. Uruguay, ed. 2: 31, provided a brief account and photograph for the Uruguay population. Kolenc, Borteiro, Tedros, Núñez, and Maneyro, 2006, Zootaxa, 1360: 41–50, reported on larval morphology.
